Metabo rolls out innovative products at Bahrain expo

MANAMA, February 8, 2018

It is Al Haddad Commercial Centre’s fourth time at the Gulf Industry Fair and this time too it has some world firsts to showcase at its stand.

The company has been an exclusive agent for Metabo power tools in Bahrain for more than 10 years now. This year it is mainly highlighting a couple of innovate tools from Metabo, the German manufacturer of high quality power tools for professional users.

“We have the 9-inch cordless angle grinder, the first and only of its kind in the world,” says Rani Charbel, the company’s Business Development Manager. What differentiates it is Metabo’s LiHD technology for batteries, he says.

Another product being showcased is the first and only 7-inch grinder that weighs only 2.7 kg and employs a power of 1,900 watts.

Also being showcased is the first and only tap drilling machine. The GB 18 LTX BL Q I is a high-grade cordless drill/screwdriver with unique, patented thread-tapping function. It offers quick and interruption-free drilling and cleaning of threads thanks to automatic change of the direction of rotation.

Charbel says this machine makes thread making effortless and claims no one in the industry has a machine this size to do it.

Meanwhile, a demo was offered for the KHA 18 LTX BL 24 cordless hammer. This machine leaves no dust during operation and is suitable for drilling jobs above head height saving the operator from dust falling on him. It is fitted with Metabo VibraTech (MVT), an integrated damping system and side handle to reduce vibration in order to protect the user.

“It’s been five years now since we have been dealing with Metabo and we are very happy with the response. We have won customers both in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia,” says Abdullah J Al Haddad, the centre’s Managing Director.

Metabo has a wide range of power tools and accessories including but not limited to grinders, table saws, drills, magnetic machines. It also produces high power rechargeable LED flood lights. Its grinders are a favourite and it enjoys 25 per cent market share in Bahrain.

Al Haddad supplies these power tools to leading industries like Alba (Aluminium Bahrain), Bapco (Bahrain Petroleum Company), GET (Gulf Equipment and Technology), and Bahrain Fibreglass Glass.

Al Haddad says the company has benefitted from the exhibition and have won many customers. “We are happy with the Gulf Industry Fair because of the strong connections we made right from our first participation.”
