Interiors show Index Saudi ends in Riyadh

RIYADH, November 1, 2018

Index Saudi 2018, a new regional interior design show connecting more than 5,000 designers, architects, project managers and procurers, ends today (November 1) at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Inaugurated by Majid bin Abdulmohsen Al Hokair, vice chairman of the board of Al Hokair Group, the three-day trade show hosts more than 100 exhibitors and showcases thousands of brands which are set to contribute to the region’s burgeoning $3-billion market.

Jaafar Shubber, event director for Index Saudi, said: “The next few years will undoubtedly see massive changes for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and ramping up construction to keep in line with Vision 2030 opens the door for large growth in the interior design market.

“It’s encouraging to see so many industry professionals gathered under one roof, and we believe this is a positive step to linking suppliers, manufacturers and key decisions makers.”

Among the features of the show are the free-to-attend CPD  (Continuing Professional Development )-certified training sessions which focus on the management, durability and profitability of interior design projects. Over the course of the show, three unique training sessions will be delivered each day by an industry expert.

Index Saudi’s show floor hosted a variety of local and international companies including Al Yamama Factory for Wooden Furniture, International Timber Company (ITCO), International Company for Furniture, Tanatel, Sleep Nice, Gift Mart, Taxiat Trading Co and Mineheart.

The show has attracted thousands of interior designers, architects, project managers, retail buyers, importers and distributers from the full spectrum of hospitality, residential, retail, educational and commercial design, and has taken place at a time when designers are looking to ensure their projects stand out in the crowd. – TradeArabia News Service
