Transguard starts work on Dubai workers complex

DUBAI, November 6, 2018

UAE-based Transguard Group has begun construction of a new Dh114 million ($31 million) accommodation for its employees in Dubai South close to Jebel Ali port in Dubai.

Due to be completed in Q4 2019, some of the more notable features of the development include a dedicated medical clinic, a barber’s shop, a fully-equipped gym, laundry facilities, and dining area offering a range of menus from Asia, Africa and Europe.

A prayer hall, bike storage, recycling and ATM banking facilities will complement the four-storey building.

This new facility is the second construction project of its kind for Transguard, an Emirates Group entity and a Al Hail Holding company.

Established in 2001, it is now the leading business support services provider in the region, with a turnover in excess of Dh2.3 billion.

The Emirati company had broke ground on its first dedicated accommodation in 2017 with a seven-storey facility in Jebel Ali that, when complete, will house nearly 10,000 staff members and include the same amenities as the four-storey accommodation.

Managing director Greg Ward said: "For Transguard, our employees have always been our number one asset. This new development further underscores our commitment to offering the best living conditions available, which have been enhanced by our investment in recreational facilities."

"This provides our employees with an environment where they can rest, relax and feel at home, ultimately creating a happier and healthier workforce," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
