Saudi HVAC R expo draws top industry players

RIYADH, January 30, 2019

More than 85 of the top regional and international players in the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC R) sector are showcasing their innovative products and solutions at a leading industry event being held in Riyadh.

HVAC R Expo Saudi, the kingdom's largest dedicated indoor climate and refrigeration event, this year made its debut at capital Riyadh with 35 per cent more floor space than last year, said the event organiser dmg events.

The fourth edition of the event was officially inaugurated by Engineer Mansour Al Shathri, the vice chairman of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The expo, which is co-located with FM Expo Saudi & Saudi Clean Expo at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Centre (RICEC), concludes today (January 30) after drawing more than 7,000 visitors over the last two days, they added.

It is being backed by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (Saso), GCC Standardization Organization (GSO), and Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).

Following the inauguration, Al Shathri took a tour of the expo accompanied by Giorgio Elia, vice president, Carrier Middle East Company, Abdulmohsin Saud Alessa, board member, Alessa Group (Crafft & Samsung), and Nick Powell, the vice-presidnet of dmg events.

On the Riyadh debut, Roni El Haddad, the event director, said: "We are proud to officially open HVAC R Expo Saudi in the capital - the event is now closer to the heart of this busy market."

"Amid reports that air-conditioning solutions consume 40 per cent of power generated in the country, Saudi Vision 2030 and its agenda toward a sustainable and efficient future is a key driver for Saudi’s HVAC R market," he stated.

The leading exhibitors at event represented over 15 countries, and included the likes of Carrier, Zamil AC, York, Midea, Samsung, Alessa Group, LG, SKM, Caleffi Hydronic Solutions, VTS Clima, Hitachi, Haas, Gibson, Rheem, RIG and BNF.

El Haddad said: "The HVAC R market expects to reach a value of up to $6.36 billion by 2022 as it moves to align with Vision 2030. As a result, we are delighted that HVAC R Expo Saudi has grown by 35 per cent in floor space since the previous edition, and we expect a record 7,000-plus visitors to the event."

More than just an exhibition, HVAC R Expo Saudi also provided industry professionals with invaluable learning opportunities in the form of free-to-attend CPD (continuing professional development)-certified training sessions, sponsored by Samsung – Alessa Advanced Projects, remarked El Haddad.

These sessions were held at the co-located FM Expo Saudi & Saudi Clean Expo events.

More than 25 local and international exhibitors showcased the latest facilities management, cleaning and waste management products and solutions at the three-day event, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
