Emaar launches new cafe in Dubai Mall

Leading global real estate developer Emaar has joined hands with various government entities to open a new cafe in the Fashion Avenue of The Dubai Mall.

A pioneering concept from Emaar, the café offers an ideal environment for visitors to network, socialise and relax in a casual setting, said the Dubai developer in a statement.

During the launch ceremony, Emaar exchanged MoUs with various government entities including Dubai Land Department (DLD), Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Department of Economic Development (DED), Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) and DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre) presenting a collaborative and innovative environment that allows visitors access to information and smart services offered by these authorities to live, work and invest in Dubai.
 
As part of this partnership, DLD will provide informative services on home and land ownership registration services; while DIFC will support financial institutions, corporates and family offices looking to grow their business across the Middle East, Africa (MEA) and South Asia by setting up in the region’s largest and most advanced financial ecosystem.

The DED has installed a smart device at the café to assist visitors with business registration and licensing services such as the Instant License, Auto Renewal and DED Trader to the current and potential investors; while DTCM will promote Dubai’s tourism credentials to the visitors and DMCC will provide different facilities, services and benefits that appeal to various client segments and industries to set-up a business in Dubai’s leading and award-winning Free Zone.

Chairman Mohamed Alabbar said: "Emaar has always believed in harnessing the strengths and abilities of different partners in our ecosystem to scale the innovation level and create better experiences for our consumers.'

One of the world’s largest real estate companies, Emaar has a land bank of 1.6 billion sq ft in the UAE and key international markets.

DLD director general Sultan Butti Bin Mejren said: "The café has contemporary features and modern infrastructure to assist potential real estate investors with information on premium developments in a casual and trendy environment.”

Majida Ali Rashid, CEO of the Real Estate Investment Promotion Investment Management Sector at DLD, said: “In partnership with Emaar Properties, DLD aims to reinvent real estate marketing and attract foreign investors. This initiative will also help enhance the mutual trust between property developers and investors, allowing them to make informed investment decisions and enjoy the benefits of the technological leap advancing real estate transparency.”

Essa Kazim, governor of DIFC, said: "As the MEA and South Asia’s leading financial hub, DIFC has the ideal ecosystem to support financial institutions and corporate entities in accessing regional opportunities, through Dubai.

"We are very pleased to be a part of this great new initiative by Emaar, which strengthens the partnership and collaboration between Dubai-based entities and reinforces the Emirate’s position as a preferred place to do business," stated Kazim.

Ali Ibrahim, deputy director general of DED, said: "Through the MoU with Emaar, we seek to highlight the opportunities available in Dubai and the advantages of investing and doing business in the emirate, further enhancing its competitiveness."

With the smart device at Emaar Cafe, DED aims to simplify business licensing services and attract more foreign companies and investors, he added.

COO Feryal Ahmadi said: "DMCC welcomes this initiative from Emaar to connect Dubai’s commercial ecosystem for the benefit of consumers. We look forward to working with all the partners involved to promote the benefits of setting up a business in DMCC and highlighting the commercial appeal of Dubai."

Visitors to the cafe can also learn more about Dubai as well as the iconic developments by Emaar through an augmented reality experience, stated Ahmadi.
 
To enhance the experience, Emaar Café will also host art exhibitions periodically showcasing the work of regional and international artists to delight the culture conscious, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
