Imkan hands over five-star hotel in Morocco

ABU DHABI, October 8, 2019

Abu Dhabi-based place-maker Imkan said it has completed the work on Villa Diyafa Boutique Hotel & Spa, a five-star luxury boutique hotel in Morocco.

Located in the embassy district of Rabat, the Ziryab-inspired property is set to be a hub for diplomats and esteemed visitors from all over the world when it opens its doors on October 16..

With a built-up area of 3,700 sq m, the Villa Diyafa Boutique Hotel & Spa boasts 38 deluxe rooms,  offering first-class service hallmarked by Imkan's promise to create places made specially to suit the desires and lifestyles of visitors.

The property will be operated by Imkan’s sister company H Hospitality Collection which was founded in 2015 by Abu Dhabi Capital Group as the hospitality business vertical for the group, providing overall management of Hotels, Resorts and F&B enterprises.

Imkan’s luxurious boutique hotel design follows an iteration successfully carried out by Marc Hertrich and Nicholas Adnet of Studio MHNA. Mixing Moroccan architecture with Andalusian highlights, the French duo combined contemporary and Moorish design to conceptualise a theme inspired by the life and art of Zyriab.

The spacious 40-sq-m rooms are complete with balconies over-looking the newly-built lush gardens and their unique designs respond to the airy, light and welcoming tones of the hotel.

Imkan CEO Walid El Hindi said: "Delivering Villa Diyafa, is another major milestone in a successful year for Imkan after our recent acquisition in Egypt. Today marks the next step on our journey to international markets and I’m proud of the hard work carried out by our team in partnership with our sister company and hotel operator H Mark hotel."

It is one of two international projects due for delivery by Imkan in 2019, the second being Phase One of Egypt’s Alburouj - a 5 million sq m mixed-use community sited 20 minutes’ drive from Cairo International Airport.

The Emirati developer also has three UAE projects that are nearing delivery this year, all of which are located in capital Abu Dhabi.

Sheikha Fatima Park is an open-air green space and hub for leisure and wellness, Nudra a luxury beachfront community of 37 villas located in Saadiyat Cultural District, and Thanaya a premium residential building in Khalidiya.

For the Morocco project, the Imkan team collaborated with the award-wining building company Bymaro who built the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca and The Royal Mansour, one of the world’s most prestigious palaces.

Landscape architects Space Coop and French interior design firm Studio MHNA who renovated Mövenpick Mansour Eddahbi in Morocco, and worked on the interior design of Sofitel Frankfurt Opera in Germany, were also brought on board to create a partnership that has delivered a truly unique and high-end hospitality experience in sumptuous surroundings.

H Hospitality Collection’s CEO Claudio Capaccioli said: "We are committed to providing global travellers with the very best visitor experience and we have developed a strong reputation in achieving this by creating luxury hospitality offerings that are imbued with local flavourings."

"We are proud have joined forces with our sister company Imkan in the development of Villa Diyafa Boutique Hotel & Spa, our combined expertise has brought a unique experience of unparalleled luxury to Morocco," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
