Galfar seals $298m Oman road project contract

Oman's Galfar Engineering and Construction said it has secured a contract worth RO115 million ($298 million) from the Ministry of Transport for the construction of a key stretch of Adam-Thamrait Road dualisation project.
Adam-Thamrait Road is a principal carriageway linking north Oman with Dhofar Governorate in the south. The Part Four package covers the dualisation of a 135-km road which is two to four lanes from Miqshin to Duka.
Parsons International is the study, detailed design, preliminary design and construction supervision consultant.
As per the contract, Galfar will complete the work on Part Four of Adam-Thamrait Road dualisation project within three years, said the Omani company in its statement.
Galfar will take another three months for mobilisation work, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
