Union Coop opens new hypermarket in Al Barsha South

DUBAI, July 18, 2021

Union Coop, the largest consumer cooperative in the UAE, has opened its new commerical centre in Al Barsha South – 1 in Dubai, built at a cost of AED60 million ($16.3 million).
 
With this launch, the number of Union Coop hypermarkets in Dubai has now risen to 22. 
 
The two-storey building, which has a building area of 232,000 sq ft, will feature 25 retail outlets on the ground floor along with 209 car parking spaces, while the first floor has been allocated to the Union Coop hypermarket and 20 shops. 
 
The hypermarket was inaugurated by the Union Coop Chairman Majid Hamad Rahma Al Shamsi along with CEO Khalid Humaid Bin Diban Al Falasi in the presence of other senior officials.
 
Al Shamsi said: "Union Coop has ambitious strategies to develop its business by adopting a flexible shopping system in its operations, which makes all food and consumer products and others accessible to all consumers, either through its centers and branches located in Dubai or shopping through the Union Coop Online Store (Smart App and Webstore)."
 
Al Falasi said the new hypermarket, which boasts a total showroom area of 65,000 sq ft, has applied the best of engineering standards and international architectural designs to give the customers a seamless shopping experience.
 
"The new outlet will make a quantum leap in meeting the requirements of all groups due to its distinguished location, especially those residing in Al Barsha South 1, 2, 3 and 4 and Al Barsha 1, 2 and 3 and Dubai Miracle Garden, in addition to the other neighbouring areas," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
