Stryde expands global presence; offices in Dubai, Houston

Stryde, a pioneering seismic technology provider, has expanded its global presence with the opening of two offices in key oil and gas regions, Houston and Dubai. 
 
This is in response to an increased demand for its innovative nodal systems, which boasts the smallest, lightest autonomous node on the market, with more than 400,000 Stryde nodes delivered for high-density seismic acquisition projects across 17 countries.
 
Over the last few months, the technology provider has signed a deal to provide Africa Geophysical Services LLC with 150,000 nodes for seismic projects – the largest deal for the company in the region and the highest ever number of nodes used for seismic acquisition in the Middle East in any one project to date.
 
 
In North America, Stryde was awarded a two-phased carbon capture underground storage (CCUS) project in August as the momentum for the development and construction of CCUS projects in the region continues. With the first phase complete, the business is set to commence stage two later this month.
 
To continue to fuel its fast growth, Stryde has made two strategic senior hires appointing Camilla Lapierre as Chief Technology Officer and Kevin O’Connell as Head of Field Operations.
 
Lapierre has a proven track record of leading seismic technology organisations and over 15 years of experience in seismic and geoscience industries. Based at Stryde’s Asker office, she will work closely with Stryde’s senior leadership team to continually evolve the technical capabilities of Stryde’s nodal system and pursue the companies mission to enable unparralelled high-definition seismic imaging of the subsurface by redefining the entry price to seismic data.
 
In his role as Head of Field Operations based in Dubai, O’Connell will use his 30 years of experience in seismic technical support to work with customers out in the field, enabling Stryde to better serve its growing customer base in this key market and others around the world.
 
The growth of the business and its increasing market share – particularly in oil and gas – shows that demand for high-quality, efficient and affordable high-density seismic is increasing, with oil and gas operators looking to maximise the value of both new and existing upstream projects. 
 
The trend towards nodal systems, demonstrates an increased recognition of the technology’s capability as well as a focus on reducing HSSE risk and the environmental impact of seismic acquisition.
