International Quality and Productivity Center (IQPC), the global provider of tailored, industry-driven conferences, will be addressing the growing concern over security and crime prevention in an upcoming convention.
The four-day strategically focused event on “Development and Infrastructure Security” will be held in Dubai from May 18.
The conference will focus on the protection of vital development and security infrastructure assets in order to minimise the risk of criminality and terrorism and safeguard the future success and growth of both businesses and the region as a whole.
'The expo highlights the need for each business to protect its own assets by implementing the right strategies and technology. Minimizing security risks in the long run will help secure and build companies’ reputations,” says Kelly Grant, conference director at IQPC Middle East.
Notably, the GCC’s investment in defence and security exceeded $277 billion in the past 8 years, with an annual growth rate estimated at 25 per cent for the next five years.
“Infrastructure security requires a holistic approach that combines successful planning and implementing of effective strategies and technologies with minimal disruption to business operations,' he noted.
According to him, the conference brings together the national and international security leaders to present their views on crime and terrorism prevention through effective security measures that are efficient in any eventuality.
The event will include nine exclusive case studies from experts in the international security industry, which will be presented throughout the two-day conference on May 19 and 20.
Highlights include presentation by Dr Mohammed Ahmed Bin Fahad, director of Dubai Police Academy, who will outline the impact of security on the national economy.
Another case study by Andrew Broderick, health, safety and security team leader from Aldar will reveal the ways his organisation overcomes its security challenges on some of the world’s mega projects.
In addition, Lieutenant Mohammed Rashid Al Muhairi, director of Tourist Security will discuss strategies to protect one of the region’s strongest economies.
The conference will also include an exclusive case study on Jumeirah Group, which owns such world-famous landmark buildings as the Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach Hotel on how they save money in the long run by avoiding cheaper security solutions.
Besides the two-day conference, the region’s leading event will include four industry-focused workshops that will address key security challenges, on May 18 and 21.-TradeArabia News Service
