Dubai SME, an agency of Dubai Department of Economic Development, has signed a partnership deal with Index Conferences and Exhibitions Organisation Establishment to promote participation of its members in conferences and trade fairs.

Index organises over 20 high profile conferences and exhibitions annually, covering medical, educational, industrial, entertainment, rehabilitation, humanitarian and development, oil and gas, environment and renewable energy sectors.

Moreover, Index Holding has 12 subsidiaries specialised in Investment, Media, Hospitality, Health, Trade and Human Resources Management, among others.

Under the agreement Dubai SME members can avail of special discounts and competitive rates for participating in conferences and exhibitions organised by Index. Dubai SME will provide Index with a list of member companies to be considered for such special discounts and incentives.

The deal was signed by Farid Karmostaji, director business incubation division at Dubai SME and Anas Al Madani vice president - Index Holding.

"The agreement aims at enhancing Dubai SME members’ participation in all the exhibitions and conferences organised by Index. The SMEs will be entitled to preferential rates and 15 per cent discount for participating in Index events,” revealed Karmostaji.
 
“We will also invite participants in our Young Entrepreneur Competition to participate in the exhibitions so that they can learn about managing and growing their businesses. A workshop to introduce Dubai SME members to the Index events held annually is also planned,” he added.
 
Al Madani said, "Our partnership with Dubai SME marks a strategic initiative to support new businesses and SMEs in the UAE, which are considered critical for the national economy."
 
"Our focus is on adding real value to the national economy while supporting new enterprises in the UAE. By partnering with Dubai SME we are providing an opportunity for entrepreneurs to promote their services and products at the conferences and exhibitions we organise every year," he noted.
