The Department of Small and Craft Industries in collaboration with Tamkeen, Bahrain Development Bank and Unido held a workshop in Manama to discuss ways to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Kingdom.

The workshop was held in the framework to support SMEs for the period from 2011-2014 within the strategic plan of the main co-ordination committee which seeks to develop the capacity of these SMEs.

Private sector representatives and participants praised efforts made by the Industry and Commerce Ministry in organising the workshop.

They said the event allowed them a good opportunity to see programmes offered by small and medium institutions, which comes within marketing, promotional, technical and financial visions which aimed to develop these institutions and consolidate its role and effective contributions in the national economy.-TradeArabia News Service
