Education key 'to Bahrain's success'
Manama

Education excellence is the key underlying Bahrain's success story, Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said.

The Premier was addressing the tenth high school batch of top-achievers on Monday.

"Bahrain is now at the forefront in many areas thanks to a sustained educational policy," he said.

He also vowed to carry on the same drive and reap further achievements on the path to excellence.

"The government's philosophy aims at energising young Bahrainis through education and training to ensure they become forces of construction and achievement," he said.

While praising the successful educational march achieved so far, the Premier highlighted potential future challenges. Hence the government's initiatives aimed at overhauling the educational system and enhancing graduates' standard.

He expressed his optimism about the success of these efforts, to further consolidate Bahrain's 'educational lustre'.

"We spared no efforts to modernise our school curricula and ensure graduates enter universities confidently," the Premier said.

He also vowed to develop textbooks and keep abreast of new scientific developments without encroaching on Arab-Islamic values. The Premier hailed Unesco indexes as testimony to Bahrain's successful educational philosophy.

He also urged graduates to excel in their studies and continue on the path of distinction, profiting from the government's opportunities.

"Honouring graduates has always had a dear place in my heart. We are all here to celebrate the birth of a new elite of young Bahrainis," the Premier said.

He also assured them that the government would always support them and ensure their academic excellence bears fruit at work.-TradeArabia News Service
