KFH backs Bahrain’s leadership conference
Manama, May 19, 2010
Kuwait Finance House-Bahrain (KFH-Bahrain), a leading provider of Islamic banking services, is the gold sponsor of a major conference in Bahrain, which has leadership excellence as its key theme.
The two-day International Leadership Conference (ILC) organised by the Bahrain Management Society opened yesterday (May 18) at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
ILC 2010 is bringing together CEOs, senior executives and other high-level professionals and senior representatives from several leading organisations.
“At KFH-Bahrain we believe that in order to achieve leadership excellence, we must follow best practice and we are committed to the principles that nurture leaders of the future,” said Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat, managing director and CEO of KFH-Bahrain.
“Today’s environment requires people at all levels to step into leadership roles and motivate and influence others to achieve a shared vision. The work environment needs to inspire and allow employee capabilities to thrive, create a sense of ownership and be responsible for their actions,” he added.
Alkhayyat said that conferences such as this, and the opportunities it provides, will help to develop a framework on which the torchbearers of tomorrow – both corporate and civic – can be trained.
Bahrain Management Society’s president Dr Adel Hamad said: “The conference expects to turn the spotlight on key issues concerning institutions and organisations today - among these is how to attract and develop the best corporate leaders, those who will be able to cope with global changes and keep up with developments taking place in the world.”
The conference programme consists of a series of interesting and informative presentations from HR consultants, business leaders and university professors. Other issues that will be highlighted will be some of the latest trends in leadership and the business experience. – TradeArabia News Service
