MSB to set up regional office in Bahrain

Manama, August 29, 2010

MSB Consultancy, a global people development and culture change specialist based in the UK, is set to establish its regional office in Bahrain. MSB's client list includes blue-chip organisations such as Batelco, Barclays Wealth, Delta Air Lines and BBC.

With more than 20 years experience, MSB Consultancy works in partnership with its clients to deliver management consultancy, bespoke leadership and frontline training and market research to enhance business performance.

To mark the opening of its new office, MSB is holding a high level conference, including local, regional and international speakers, for business leaders who want to enhance the performance of their organizations, said a statement from the company.

The 'Leading Change' conference, to be held on October 27 at the Ritz Carlton in Bahrain, will offer leadership and motivational insights from business leaders who have brought about positive change in local, regional and international organisations.

Keynote speakers will include Peter Kaliaropoulos, Group chief executive of Batelco, Gordon Dewar, chief executive officer of the Bahrain Airport Company and the global chief operating officer of Barclays Wealth, Andrew Tinney.

MSB was established in the UK more than 20 years ago by Don Porter and Brian Hamill, who were responsible for devising and delivering the customer service programme at British Airways in the 1980’s, an integrated strategy that was credited at the time with transforming BA into one of the world’s leading airlines.

Since then, MSB has worked with a wide range of blue-chip organizations including Batelco, Barclays Wealth, Delta Air Lines, Gatwick Airport Limited, The London Eye, WS Atkins, Rentokil Initial and the BBC to enhance their performance through improved levels of customer service, engaged and motivated employees, leadership development and the management of change.

Don Porter CBE, joint managing director, MSB Consultancy, said, 'We've been working with blue-chip organizations for more than 20 years, helping leadership teams to enhance the performance of their businesses.'

'Now, more than ever, we're seeing a huge increase in the need from companies to redefine how they do business to deliver better customer service, better employee engagement, to enhance the skills of their leaders and to manage their increasingly complex organizations with a view to sustaining and improving long-term profitability,' he noted.

'In the aftermath of the financial crisis, companies are having to do more with less and they need our expertise in order to fully harness the talent of their people,' he added.

Brian Hamill, joint managing director, MSB Consultancy, said, 'Bahrain is the ideal location for our regional office. Our work with some of Bahrain's leading companies has not only delivered bottom line benefits, but it has also enhanced the effectiveness of employees, helping to support the overall objectives of the 'Economic Vision 2030'.'

'Bahrain has a talented workforce and some world leading companies and MSB looks forward to working with more of local businesses to help them to develop their full potential,' Hamill stated.

Kaliaropoulos said, 'We engaged MSB to help us with a major leadership development project that we launched to increase the effectiveness of the business as it adapts to meet the rapidly challenging needs of the local and regional marketplace.'

'MSB Consultancy in conjunction with Lancaster University Management School is delivering a groundbreaking leadership development programme that is already adding significant value to the business across the region in the short time they have been working with us,' he remarked.

The conference will be opened by the British Ambassador to Bahrain, Jamie Bowden.-TradeArabia News Service
