Haya Water staff approved as trainers

Haya Water, a major government-owned water reuse company in Oman, recently marked the completion of a training course by 20 of its employees, qualifying them to become specialised trainers within the company.

“We do our best to develop the skills and performance of Haya Water staff to enable them to play a major role in the growth of their company and contribute to providing better services to Muscat residents,” said Omar al Wahaibi, CEO of Haya Water.

“We also seek to promote Haya Water as a leading national organization that utilizes the best Omani talents to encourage them play a role in the growth of the Omani national economy,” he added.

Roy Fairways from UK-based Veolia Water, a specialised trainer in developing leadership skills, gave lectures to the 20 participants from the different department in Haya Water.

The participants were briefed on the importance of training and how to develop their technologies to meet the requirements, how to deal with different category of trainees, training materials and evaluation techniques. The course also included practical exercises.

“Haya Water attaches great importance to improving the skills, performance and experience of its staff. For this purpose the company organized 32,000 specialised training hours that contributed to polishing the skills of employees. The company will also implement its training plan for this year,” said Ibrahim al Sulaimani, general manager, Human Resources. – TradeArabia News Service
