Bahrain polytechnic re-opens

Manama, April 21, 2011

Bahrain Polytechnic has resumed operations amid tight security at its Isa Town campus.

Chief executive John Scott welcomed students during an assembly and asked them to abide by security rules and a code of conduct.

Classes were open for 405 new students, while two more new batches will be allowed into the classrooms on Sunday and Tuesday.

Students collected new ID cards issued as a security measure at the polytechnic at the Isa Town campus of Bahrain University.

The university has not re-opened since students went on the rampage on March 13 during the height of political unrest.-TradeArabia News Service
