CPC readies over 6000 jobs for Saudis

Jeddah, July 3, 2011

Construction Products Holding Company (CPC), a specialist in the manufacturing materials sector, is set to employ more than 6,000 Saudi youth in its various units across the Kingdom.

CPC has presently 6,737 job openings in its establishments in Saudi which are mainly in the engineering sector and production lines, maintenance and operation, said Dr Faysal Alaquil, director of Business Development and Administration Affairs and the official spokesman for CPC.

“Included in this opportunity is training in technical and vocational jobs,' he added.

Dr Alaquil reiterated the private sector’s support to the government towards helping reduce unemployment among young Saudi men and women.

“We recognize how important it is for national companies to support the government’s efforts to create more jobs for Saudi youths and bring them to the mainstream of national development,” Dr. Alaquil said.

CPC was recently selected as Saudi's best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) firm for the year 2011.

The Saudi firm offers training in its one-of-a-kind Industrial park in Bahra, the most advanced Industrial complex in the region, explained Dr Alaquil.

The company had recently signed a series of agreements with Hisham Linjawi of Human Resources Development Fund and aligned itself with the Ministry of Labor’s job localization program, which was drawn up in collaboration with the National Institute of Technology.

“CSR has become a major gateway for both the public and private sectors to address social and economic issues for the well being of the citizens,” he added.-TradeArabia News Service
