Alfalak wins top rating for Saudization

Riyadh, October 5, 2011

Alfalak Electronic Equipment and Supplies, a leading provider of technology-based end-to-end solutions, has received the distinguished Platinum rating for Saudization.

Only a few Saudi companies have attained the rating under Saudi Arabia’s Nitaqat system in the Kingdom’s nationalization programme, a statement said.

Implemented last month, the Nitaqat system prioritizes the hiring of Saudi nationals and the reduction unemployment in the country.

It imposes a quota on nationals working for Saudi-based companies. Compliance is categorized as Red (non-compliant), Yellow (insufficient), Green (fully compliant), and Platinum (exceptional Saudization).

With Saudi Nationals comprising almost 600 of its 983 employees, Alfalak has joined an elite group of companies that have been able to exceed Nitaqat requirements and qualify for the fourth and highest ranking under the system.

“Saudization has always been a priority for Alfalak. We recognize the valuable contributions Nationals can make not only for our company but for the country’s development as well,” said Ahmed Ashadawi, CEO and president, Alfalak Electronic Equipment & Supplies.

“We thank Nitaqat for this honour and will view it as a strong motivation for further developing the personal and professional potentials of our Saudi workforce,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
