ISO accreditation for Bahrain Indian school

Manama, November 7, 2011

The Indian School in Bahrain has received accreditation from the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) for the new standards 9001:2008.

Initially the school was certified for 9001:2000 until July 2011.

The ISO certification body conducted an intensive audit for recertification and found that the Quality Management System (QMS) of the school conforms to ISO 9001:2008 standards.

This certificate was handed over by Education Ministry Under-Secretary for Education and Curriculum Dr Abdulla Yousif Al Mutawa to the school's honorary chairman Abraham John and principal V R Palaniswamy.

The Indian School has the distinction of being the only school on the island to have an accreditation from ISO.-TradeArabia News Service
