BIBF in auditing course partnership
Manama, November 29, 2011
Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) has signed an agreement with QMF Global, a quality management consultancy, for the provision of an internationally recognised qualification in auditing for the GCC market.
The BIBF centre for accounting and IT said this auditing qualification includes training courses and development products in ISOs 9001, 14001, and 18001.
Key components will be the five-day lead auditor courses, a certification examination, passing of which will make the successful candidate a lead auditor for that standard.
The ISO9001 family of standards relates to quality management systems and is designed to help organisations ensure they meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders.
The ISO14001 environmental management standards aim to help organisations minimise how their operations (processes, etc) negatively affect the environment; comply with applicable laws, regulations and other environmentally oriented requirements and continually improve them.
The ISO18001 is intended to help businesses control occupational health and safety risks.
"BIBF is pleased to offer international qualifications that continue to meet the sector's requirements for transparency and organisational best practice," said its director Garry Muriwai.
"QMF's lead auditor designations with ISO methodologies ensure BIBF is well placed to fill any development needs within this specialised field," he added.
"QMF Global is delighted with the opportunity to work in partnership with BIBF, one of the most successful institutions in the GCC," said QMF Global Certification UK director Faisal Riaz.
"We look forward to working with BIBF in rolling out UK and internationally accredited training courses aimed at building professional capacity and quality assurance awareness within Bahrain and the wider GCC.
"This relationship is another milestone for QMF Global having recently been approved as a provider of quality assurance services for Tamkeen, offering the best UK quality service at an affordable price," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
