Flex to open specialised academies for kids

Kuwait, January 14, 2014

Kuwait-based Flex Resorts and Real Estate Company is set to launch a chain of academies for children at its Flex Family Club this month.

The academies will offer a range of specialised educational, developmental and recreational programmes, said a statement.

The first three academies to be opened are: Flex Ballet Academy, Flex Karate Academy and Flex Judo Academy.

Specialised instructors, coaches and educators will provide the children with the best levels of training and guidance in a safe, fully-equipped place.

The initiative follows studies that have recently focused on the importance of engaging children in sports and physical activities to encourage their developmental advancement and growth.

It gives children the chance to discover their own interests; learn how to become more organised; how to be part of a team; be more aware of the importance of commitment and have more confidence in themselves and their achievements.

Basma Al Naqi, assistant managing director, said: “We have always been striving to build a healthier Kuwaiti society through our gyms and anti-obesity campaigns. This time, we thought that the best method to achieve this objective is through directing the young generation to change their lifestyles where they start considering playing sports as a daily habit.”

“This shall in return have a positive impact on their health, their attitude and their education and consequently build a strong, capable and well prepared Kuwaiti generation,” she added. - TradeArabia News Service
