Dubai, March 20, 2014

More than 30,000 students and the academic community in the UAE will be provided with a greater understanding of regional and global education trends and practices at an upcoming recruitment event in Dubai.

The 26th edition of Getex, a leading student recruiment event in the region, will be held from April 9 to 11 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

It will offer visitors access to diverse academic options in courses, programmes and education-specific technology spanning across all possible areas of specialisations.

The show will enable students to opt for the most suitable courses and educational institutions meeting their individual academic and professional goals, desired fee and scholarship structure, and preferred entry schedules and qualifications.

It will also host the ‘Student Counsellors’ forum for education providers in the region, where Getex counsellors will convene and address a large group of counsellors, elaborating on various topics surrounding the education landscape and the varying needs of students today.

The ‘Career Advisory Forum,’ a new initiative by the show, will introduce participants to the latest recruitment policy trends and qualification criteria by leading multinational companies.

It will provide significant and in-depth information about the employment landscape, hiring guidelines and human resource policies followed in the regional and global job market, to help students prepare for the job market.

Anselm Godinho, managing director, International Conferences and Exhibitions (IC&E), the organiser of Getex, said: “The UAE has witnessed an increase in demand for world-class schools and universities from both expatriates and citizens in the last few years, making the private education sector the biggest in the region, valued at Dh10.2 billion ($2.7 billion)."

Getex 2014 is supported by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), the Dubai Knowledge Village (DKV) and the Dubai International Academic City (DIAC).

Spread across an area of 14,000 sq m, the event will facilitate the interaction between students and educational institutions from India, Australia, US, Canada, UK, Malaysia, Turkey, Lebanon, Ireland, and all over the world. - TradeArabia News Service
