Bahrainisation increases 1.6pc in Q2

Bahrainisation has increased by 1.6 per cent in the second quarter of this year, compared with the same period last year, the Cabinet heard yesterday (September 7).

It reviewed a report on labour market indicators presented by Labour Minister Jameel Humaidan for April to June, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

The Cabinet also discussed two agreements on labour and professional training with Jordan and Morocco.

A proposed MoU with Jordan focuses on exchange of data, information, statistics and expertise related to the labour market, co-operation in professional standards, integration of women into the labour market and settlements in labour disputes.

The MoU with Morocco is on the exchange of labour information and expertise and settling labour disputes, co-operation in training and measurement systems and exchanges in occupational safety and health. - TradeArabia News Service
