SHSU delegation with DBWC members

DBWC event focus on ‘doing business in Dubai’

DUBAI, December 17, 2014

The Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC), the official representative organisation for business women in the emirate, hosted a delegation from the Sam Houston State University (SHSU), comprising 12 students from the College of Business Administration.

The delegation met with DBWC board members and members of the DBWC, who are business owners and entrepreneurs, to discuss matters on doing business in Dubai as well as learn more about how organisations like the DBWC support the business women community, said a statement.

Raja Al Gurg, president of DBWC, said: “We are extremely honoured to host the SHSU today as it is great to strengthen our relationship with international bodies who show interest in Dubai and especially the business world that is rapidly evolving here.

“It is fantastic to see how passionate young students are about their future careers and in knowing their interest in doing business in or with other countries, like Dubai.”

The DBWC provided a general profile of conducting business in Dubai and some of the great opportunities that are available to businesses and entrepreneurs along with its role in supporting business women in the community, said the statement.

The board members and members of the council then answered various questions the students had about doing business, working, living and opportunities in Dubai, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
