Samsung launches ‘Smart Discovery Lab’ in Jordan

AMMAN, July 27, 2015

Samsung Electronics Levant has launched the ‘Smart Discovery Lab’ in co-operation with the Haya Cultural Centre (HCC).

On the occasion of this launch, a charity Iftar was held for 100 children invited along with the presence of Samsung and HCC officials and representatives.

At the beginning of the event, the children experienced the various activities in the lab, such as photography and augmented reality, followed by the Iftar meal and a specially prepared play by HCC crew to reflect the beautiful values in our society.

Fade Abu Shamat, head of retail and corporate marketing, Samsung Levant, said: ”We are thrilled to partner with Haya Cultural Center, one of the most prestigious institutions that tackles the development of children's artistic and cultural talents.

“And being able to establish the “Smart Discovery Lab” to give the children the technological expertise using the latest Samsung devices, and enable them develop to their skills and deal with the inputs and outputs of the digital world is truly rewarding.”

Diala Khamra, director of HCC, said: ”We are grateful to Samsung for equipping this lab and supporting HCC. Facilitating children’s access to technology and building their skills using innovative and modern ways will help them grow to become contributors to technology rather than consumers.
