Maids spur amnesty on Indonesia's ban fear

MANAMA, September 29, 2015

Indonesian housemaids are apparently spurning an amnesty on illegal residents because of a ban imposed by their own government that would prevent them from returning to Bahrain. Jakarta in March banned Indonesian housemaids from working in 21 countries, including those in the GCC, due to concerns about mistreatment, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
