Top PR professionals gear up for Dubai summit
DUBAI, October 15, 2016
Leading communications experts and professionals from across the GCC region will examine current issues and emerging trends in the Public Relations (PR) industry at The International Public Relations Association Gulf Chapter (IPRA-GC) summit which opens in Dubai this month.
Headquartered in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, IPRA-GC boasts of more than 800 members from across the Gulf region.
A premier public relations event in the region, the IPRA-GC opens on October 25 featuring keynote speeches from Abdallah Jum’ah, the former president and chief executive of Saudi Aramco, Abdullatif Al Othman, the former governor and chairman of the board of Sagia and Bart de Vries, the president of IPRA.
The three-day event will see experts examine current issues and emerging trends in the PR field under this year's theme 'Evolving Media Strategies for Public Relations.'
It will feature 12 conference sessions with topics ranging from The Changing Role of Women in PR to Managing International PR in the Gulf region.
There will also be eight interactive workshops conducted by communications experts from organizations such as Saudi Aramco, LinkedIn and Lipincott covering several topics including Managing Crisis communications, Effective Speech Writing, Media Messaging in Digital Media and the Effective Use of the Channel: LinkedIn.
Other notable speakers include Nasser Al Nafisee, the vice president of corporate affairs at Saudi Aramco; Ahmed bin Ali, senior vice president of corporate communication at Etisalat; Tareq Ghosheh, vice president of communication for Expo 2020; Sultan Al Bazie, chairman of the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts; Nadeen Al Bedair, TV presenter at Rotana; Rasha Kashkoush, head of communications at Facebook and Instagram for Mena and Turkey; Mohammed Osaimi, PR consultant and Trainer at Saudi Aramco; Maryam Bin Fahad, the executive director of Dubai Press Club; Abdulrahman Al Rashid, the former head of MBC and Nart Bouran, the CEO of Sky News Arabia.
