Sharjah EDD logs 92pc Emiratisation in H1

The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has confirmed its interest in attracting national talent as part of its efforts to increase the Emiratisation in the department which reached 92 per cent during the first half of 2017.

As part of its focus on increasing the level of services to meet the demand for the centres of the Department, SEDD has attracted national talent by appointing new cadres of 31 employees since the beginning of the current year. This is in continuation of the Department's approach in seeking to provide the best possible service to its customers, reported Wam, the Emirates official news agency.

Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, chairman of SEDD, confirmed that the Department is working to attract the human resources of citizens in all jobs and areas with the refinement of their skills through various training courses, in accordance with the directives of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Abdullah Al Mahmoud, director of Support Services Department at SEDD, said that the Department focussed on developing and qualifying employees and enhancing their efficiency through many internal and external programmes which totalled 1213, including 858 internal programmes and 355 external programmes.
