Atlab appoints new GM

DUBAI, February 19, 2018

Centena Group, a UAE-based multinational conglomerate and the parent company of Atlab, has announced a key senior appointment.

The new appointment at Atlab – a technology-based learning solutions provider is in line with the group’s strategic future growth plans.

Nilesh Korgaonkar has been appointed as the new general manager of Atlab and will be responsible for steering the division with new innovative solutions within the education sector.

Sanjay Raghunath, chairman and managing director of Centena Group, said the decision to enhance the management structure at Atlab is in line with Centena Group’s vision to cater to the rapidly-advancing technological landscape within the education sector.

“We are confident that the existing energetic team at Atlab under the leadership of Nilesh Korgaonkar will be in a better position to address the needs of edutech sector and strategically strive to achieve greater milestones with key innovative solutions. Nilesh has been with Centena Group since 2000 and has grown within the organizational structure in line with the strategy of Centena group of human capital growth to reach the top management position,” said Raghunath.

Nilesh who has been a part of the organisation for the past 18 years is currently a member of executive board and also the Business Head of Life Analytical Sciences – another division of Centena Group.

“Digital technologies are fast transforming the education sector even as more institutions, teachers and students are adapting to teach and learn through smart devices. Atlab will continue to play a leading role in empowering both institutions as well as students with the introduction of innovative solutions,” said Korgaonkar.

Atlab has been focusing on developing custom applications dedicated to humanoid robots and Stem (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and innovation labs for corporates and educational institutions. The company has been working on building the first robotic teaching assistant that is expected to be rolled out into select schools in the UAE. It has also been the brain behind the World 3D Printing Olympiad that was held in Dubai recently. - TradeArabia News Service
