Nakheel launches three job schemes at Careers UAE

DUBAI, March 13, 2018

Dubai-based master developer Nakheel is launching three new employment schemes to help find the company’s stars of the future at Careers UAE 2018.

The Scholarship, Graduate Trainee and Internship initiatives will encourage a new pool of UAE nationals to join the company and help deliver a range of exciting projects in line with the government’s 2021 vision for Dubai, the company said.

The Nakheel Scholarship Programme is for Emirati students completing studies in several fields, including accounting, finance, civil engineering and architectural engineering, with full-time employment with Nakheel once they finish their course.

UAE nationals who embark on Nakheel’s Graduate Trainee scheme will receive first class on-the-job training through professional advice and first-hand exposure to a business environment. Nakheel is targeting students with degrees in business management, finance, marketing, engineering and IT for this programme.

Under the Internship scheme, Nakheel is offering work placements to Emiratis currently studying at college or university, allowing them to get a taste of working life at Nakheel, with a view to a full-time job if a suitable opportunity arises.

A Nakheel spokesman said:  “Employees are the greatest asset for any business, and we place particular emphasis on developing young, talented UAE nationals into senior positions in which they can take a greater responsibility within our leadership teams.

“We already employ an excellent, dedicated team of young Emirati men and women who continue to prove their commitment, drive and ability to deliver. We look forward to adding to this talent at Careers UAE.”
