United Gulf Saudi picks consultants for Bahrain university deal

RIYADH, May 4, 2019

The United Gulf Group for Investment Management and Industrial Consulting in Jubail - Saudi Arabia has roped in Proact International Consulting, Bahrain American Consulting Company to oversee the acquisition of a private Bahraini university by Bahraini and Saudi investors.
 
This transaction will contribute to the strengthening of the higher education sector in the Bahrain and support the government's efforts to revitalize the educational tourism sector, said a top company official on the sidelines of the Business Development Forum (BDFEX-2019), organised by the United Group Gulf Investment Management and Industrial Consulting in Bahrain recently.
 
This qualitative step is the group's first entry into the field of educational institutions in Bahrain," remarked Group CEO Dr Mohammed Al Khaldi. He also announced a series of similar investment projects.
 
Dr Al Khaldi later praised the strenuous efforts exerted by the Bahraini Ministry of Education under the chairmanship of Minister of Education Dr Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi.
 
The partnership between Proact and the Gulf Consulting Group represents a strong start for productive future co-operation, said Dr Khalid Boumtia, general manager of Proact International Consultancy. 
 
The Bahraini government, he stated, was keen to participate with the private sector to provide quality education with multiple options. 
 
This allows for the advancement of the education development efforts in Bahrain, which are mainly implemented by the Ministry of Education and the Quality Assurance Authority for Education and Training.
 
Bahraini American Consulting Company CEO Dr Ayman Ghazi said that the Gulf Group's acquisition of the Bahraini Private University had reached an advanced stage and pointed out the achievement of considerable progress in the field of procedural matters and obtaining the approvals of the concerned parties.
 
He lauded the vital role played by Dr. Abdul Ghani Shuwaikh, General Secretariat of the Council of Higher Education, in this regard.-TradeArabia News Service
