NGN Institute initiates VR training for Bahrainis

BAHRAIN, May 21, 2019

NGN Training Institute has announced the start of the practical training phase of its ‘Virtual Reality Technology’ programme, which will provide Bahrainis with specialised employment opportunities in the new technologies field.

NGN Training Center, an affiliate of IT systems integrator NGN International, has announced the launch of this unique programme in Bahrain with the support of Tamkeen.

NGN had launched the four-month ‘Virtual Reality Content Development’ programme earlier and now the practical phase of the programme begins.
The start of the practical application phase follows the completion of two months of theoretical training under the supervision of the specialised international trainers at NGN’s headquarters, which is located at the World Trade Center.

The training would further enable Bahrainis to create an impact on the VR and AR industries while securing them jobs in the design industry, said a statement.

Yaqoob Al-Awadhi, chief executive officer of NGN, stated that the participants have now started the practical application phase in cooperation with several partners, which includes an engineering office and an industrial company. “The practical phase of the programme includes the application of 2D and 3D designs, image animation, and interaction of designs through programming learning in virtual reality projects,” explained Al-Awadhi.
“Following the completion of the theoretical training, the trainees have been divided into groups within three different projects provided by private partners companies,” he said.

He expressed optimism over the results of this programme, being implemented for the first time in Bahrain. “The trainees have been selected from 70 potential candidates, following NGN’s strict acceptance criteria.  The trainees have so far displayed a high level of discipline and desire for learning, and a clear drive for innovation,” he said.

Al-Awadhi said: “The programme is in line with the latest technology trends around the world and supports the national market trends.” –TradeArabia News Service
