19 students graduate from HTMi Switzerland's Emirati-centric programme

The Hotel and Tourism Management Institute (HTMi) Switzerland Dubai has announced the graduation of 19 students from its pioneering, Emirati-centric programme – Sufara’a Al Dhyafa. 
 
Graduating with a Diploma in Hospitality Operations Management, these UAE nationals are now equipped with the knowledge and skills to become leaders in the hospitality industry. Moreover, 58 per cent of the graduating class has already secured jobs within six weeks of finishing their training. 
 
Sufara’a Al Dhyafa programme has been expertly developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and actively aids government objectives of Emiratisation in the private sector. Ahmad Bin Byat, managing partner at the Swiss Hotel and Tourism Management Institute in Dubai, HTMi commented: “Educating Emirati’s must be our priority if we want to achieve our 2021 vision of ensuring that our country is among the best countries in the world. The hospitality sector is crucial in the achievement of this goal, therefore we are proud to be supporting HTMI in their Sufrara’a Al Dhyafa program."
 
Judit Toth, business director of HTMi Switzerland Dubai, said: “After a careful selection process, we enrolled the students for the three-month intensive course to train and develop their skills to ensure that our students become supervisors and managers. With over 58 per cent employment success rate within six weeks of course completion in leading hotels brands such as Crown Plaza, Armani Hotel and Waldorf Astoria, we are proud to have such a strong graduating class and are confident that they will greatly contribute to the hospitality industry here in the UAE."
 
Maryam Almaazmi shared her experience with the Sufaraa Al Dhyafa diploma and said: “This course was an educational experience that I am so grateful for! I have developed new skills and learnt various aspects of Hospitality that I didn’t even consider prior to this course. I am encouraged that by doing this course, I will now have a great prospect to enter into a management role within the Hospitality industry, and for that I am so grateful to HTMI and all of our teachers for this amazing experience."
 
HTMI’s focus for this course is to help Emirati students to find excellent prospects in hospitality, tourism, and service industries and to contribute to the achievement of UAE’s vision of making these sectors amongst the most prosperous in the country. To do this, Sufara’a Al Dhyafa is a three-month intensive diploma that consists of nine modules that spans across various sectors of hospitality management to educate students and provide them with a first-ever Swiss-Certified UAE National Diploma. - TradeArabia News Service
