Enoc launches plastic collection drive
Dubai

In line with its commitment to the environment and the community, Enoc has launched a plastic waste collection drive in association with its vendors.

The drive, spearheaded by the Enoc Group Corporate Services, aims to leverage the company’s network of vendor sites to collect as much non-biodegradable waste as possible for recycling. Enoc has been collecting waste paper for recycling since June 1, 2006.

"People can now dispose of all dry plastic material such as empty bottles, bags and sheets in the bin provided by Zenath Recycling and Waste Management, the recycling services arm of ETA Ascon Group, at all offices located within the Enoc Complex in Dubai," said Saeed Abdullah Khoory, Enoc Group chief executive.

He said the plastic collection drive was the latest in a series of ongoing environmental conservation initiatives implemented by Enoc across its operations and sites.

The Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) department of Enoc Group will extend its support to this drive in order to maximise its impact.

"Reducing non-biodegradable waste is a global challenge that calls for more efforts and Enoc considers it our responsibility to contribute significantly towards such efforts," Khoory added.

"We make sure that whatever we do within our offices or across our operations is environmentally and ethically correct. Through initiatives like this plastic collection drive we are trying to involve our partners and customers in tackling environmental challenges,” he added.-TradeArabia News Service
