Milka, a famous European Alpine milk chocolate from Kraft Foods, has been launched in the UAE.

With over 100 years of natural Alpine goodness poured into it, Milka chocolates have delighted and indulged consumers with its most tender chocolate pleasures, said a Kraft company official.

'Milka is a flagship brand for Kraft Foods in the chocolates category and we expect it will make a lasting impression on our consumers here. Milka has over 100 years of heritage as rich as its taste,' said Ahmed Yahya marketing director GCC, Kraft foods Middle East and Africa.

'It is quite simply an excellent premium chocolate that is made from the purest Alpine fresh milk to deliver the most tender, indulgent chocolate experience,' he noted.

'The 100 gm bar offers a variety of specialties like Caramel, Chocolate Dessert, Hazelnuts, Raisin & Nuts and Alpine Milk,' he added. 

The snack size (38.5gms) variety comes in three distinctive flavors of Almond, Hazelnut and Alpine Milk.

Puneet Sawhney, marketing manager from Gulf International said “We are very keen to begin the distribution of Milka as this a leading European product that delivers superior consumer value. With the expected consumer acceptance we anticipate a high turnover in all the retail outlets across the UAE.'

Milka is currently available only in UAE. The 100gm tablet in 5 variants will be made available in June ’08 and is priced at Dh5. The 38.5gm tablet in 3 variants will be available from July ’08 and is priced at Dh2.50, Sawhney noted.-TradeArabia News Service
