The prices of key food items in UAE did not change this week though some items registered a marginal dip, revealed the Ministry of Economy, a report said.
Items which showed a drop in prices included rice, wheat flour, mutton from Australia, tea bags, Close Up toothpaste, Dove Deodorant, almonds, animal shortening, Lurpak butter from Denmark, cheese from the Czech Republic and whole fresh chicken, according to the Gulf News report.
Items which didnot show price changes included red onions from India, white sugar, beef, locally produced fish and white bread.
The cost of yoghurt went up in Dubai, but remained unchanged in Abu Dhabi.
