The exclusive 8th floor of Abu Dhabi’s Emirates Palace, is to host an unforgettable Royal Dinner as a highlight of this year’s Gourmet Abu Dhabi culinary festival which begins a 15-day programme on February 5.

The Royal Dinner, scheduled for February 9, will feature authentic Arabian cuisine prepared by Abu Dhabi’s leading chefs who are hosting the Gourmet Abu Dhabi programme and its visiting masterchefs.

“It is a chance for guests to become immersed in the vast richness of Arabian culture and to celebrate its cuisine in a majestic setting,” explained Noura Al Dhaheri, retail and dining section head, Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), which organises the annual culinary experiential programme.

The 8th floor dining room of Emirates Palace is normally reserved for official banquets honouring visiting Royalty, members of ruling families and heads of state. A lavish entrance hall, adorned with soft hues of gold under Swarovski crystal chandeliers, leads into a palatial room bedecked with delicate yellow silks and Daum crystal masterpieces.
Dining tables are set with the world’s finest cutlery from French silversmith Christofle, crystal glasses from Baccarat and exquisite Bernaudaud china plates from Limoges.

“Elegance is the byword for the 8th floor which hosts dinners where only the finest of cuisine is served,” explained Al Dhaheri. “Dinner reservations for this truly unique experience are limited to 80 connoisseurs.”

Gourmet Abu Dhabi runs throughout 18 of the finest restaurants and outlets in Abu Dhabi, from February 5 to 19. This year's programme features award-winning masterchefs sharing a total of 22 Michelin stars, special guests, Canadian celebrity chef Bob Blumer and leading hospitality industry figures, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
