Dubai, November 22, 2007
Dubai will host the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Middle East (PABME) Exhibition and Conference in April.
The event will be held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from Apirl 27 to 29, 2008.
It will serve as the only event in this part of the world for international manufacturers, suppliers, investors and buyers to converge, network and discuss forming new business alliances and joint ventures.
The global pharmaceutical market has demonstrated consistent growth patterns in the past five years generating total revenue of $643 billion in 2006.
The world market for biotechnological drugs is thriving, with its current global market value stands at $460 billion and is growing at a rate of 18 per cent per year. It is estimated that by 2009, the industry will surge to $625 billion.
“PABME is an exciting new global event taking place in the Middle East. Our aim is to make PABME much more than a dealer-distributor show – we want to bring together senior decision makers, scientists, technicians, marketers and the sales force who all work to make the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry the success it is,” said Healthcare Director at IIR Middle East Simon Page.
Exhibitors and visitors at PABME will be able to access not only the Middle East market where the event is taking place, but will also be able to reach global manufactures in an unprecedented networking and business opportunity.
During the event, Dubai will become a hub for global pharmaceutical and biotechnology professionals to meet and do business and learn about the recent updates in the industry.
Leading global and regional players have already confirmed their participations at PABME.
“Having a Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Exhibition in the Middle East will allow organizations such as ourselves to project to the region and beyond. PABME is an ideal place to meet the global industry,” said president consultant at the National Institute for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (NIGEB), Iran, Dr Babazadeh.
An extensive range of conference programmes will run alongside the exhibition, using the expertise of IIR, part of the Informa group. Informa Healthcare has over 10,000 events and training courses and hundreds of exceptional brands with a presence in 70 countries.
