Aman launches health insurance scheme

Dubai Islamic Insurance & Reinsurance Company (Aman) has launched a new innovative health insurance scheme for customers in the UAE.
The new plan, the first-of-its-kind in the UAE health insurance sector, will offer comprehensive products that are consistent with the Sharia rules and are based on Islamic Takaful principle.
The new initiative covers all parts of the world, and provides emergency care services at all times, evacuation, expenses of air travel for the purpose of treatment, 24/7 helpline to offer help to customers and answer their medical inquiries.
Besides it covers the appropriate treatment in the most prestigious world hospitals, ticket and accommodation expenses for 3rd party to accompany the patient and many other benefits.
Hussain Al Meeza, CEO and managing director of Aman said the company was always keen on providing customers with high quality insurance services which adhere to Sharia principles.
It constantly carries out the required research and studies to identify the demands and needs of different segments of the UAE nationals and residents, he noted.

Iqbal Mankani, Aman's chief operating officer, explained that the new health insurance scheme, which is offered by Aman in cooperation with Oracle Med Health, is packed with numerous features and benefits.
'The scheme includes Al Shifa Silver plan at the value of $1 million with a Worldwide Cover excluding the United States and Canada, and Al Shifa Gold Plan at the value of $5 million covering all parts of the world including the United States and Canada.
Both plans provide free air transport for patients and 3rd party accompaniment, in addition to free accommodation for 3rd party to accompany the patient, evacuation, 24 hour emergency service and the required medication.' Mankani added.
He further noted that the new scheme offers special medical care as the patient will be under the supervision of a specialist team and will get managed care services, in addition to many other benefits.
