Emaar Healthcare augments Dubai presence
Dubai, July 29, 2009
Emaar Healthcare Group, the healthcare arm of Emaar Properties, is expanding its presence and reach in Dubai, with new facilities to open in Downtown Burj Dubai, Arabian Ranches and The Meadows.
Building on the partnership with Methodist International, a subsidiary of US-based Methodist Hospital, announced last year, these facilities will provide the highest international standards in healthcare delivery, said a statement.
Downtown Burj Dubai Medical Centre, which opens later in 2009 in the 500-acre Downtown Burj Dubai community, will be the flagship healthcare facility to open under Emaar Healthcare Group.
In addition to providing a full range of primary patient care specialties within a premium out-patient facility, the medical centre will also offer advanced services in diagnostic imaging with on-site laboratory facilities.
The opening of Downtown Burj Dubai Medical Centre, a multi-speciality outpatient centre, and the community clinics, will mark the start of a patient referral network which will later be supported by a secondary care hospital.
“Emaar Healthcare Group is dedicated to providing excellent medical facilities, manned by highly-skilled healthcare professionals and equipped with the latest technologies,” said Omar Al Shunnar, CEO of Emaar Healthcare Group.
“With a clear commitment to deliver world class healthcare to the communities we serve, we will provide the utmost care and attention to our patients and ensure a caring and secure medical environment with a strong focus on customer service,” he added.
Al Shunnar continued: “The partnership with Methodist International underscores our commitment to develop world-class facilities of the highest standards for patients. Methodist Hospital is one of the world’s leading names in healthcare delivery and their reputation and experience complements our objectives.
“Through our linkage with Methodist, we will leverage their expertise in providing value added services including the ability to source second opinions from the US.”
Emaar Healthcare’s vision is to offer cutting-edge healthcare facilities in the region and beyond, and be a truly global integrated healthcare provider. With the upcoming facilities, Emaar Healthcare is putting in place advanced medical infrastructure, providing modern medical technologies in a state-of-the-art healthcare environment.
To achieve its objectives, Emaar Healthcare Group, together with Methodist International, will leverage superior technology, qualified and experienced people, advanced facilities and international accreditations, and will adhere to the highest clinical standards in service, said the statement. – TradeArabia News Service
