Saudi expo to help combat healthcare challenges

The upcoming 'Saudi Health Exhibition & Conference 2014', is an important forum to boost communication and strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors in the Kingdom, said industry experts.

The largest healthcare event in the kingdom is being organised by the Saudi Ministry of Health, in cooperation with Riyadh Exhibitions Company (REC) and Informa Life Science Exhibitions from May 19 to 21 at Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center.

According to experts, the Saudi expo will encourage the exchange of knowledge and expertise with leading regional and international entities aimed at effectively dealing with the emerging challenges and making best of the available opportunities to promote the healthcare sector in the Kingdom.

The Saudi health ministry said it is commited to support the organizer’s vision of “Exhibition with Education” to promote the event’s role in making a positive change to the development of the local healthcare industry while raising the bar on human competences and enabling them to optimally combat existing industry challenges.

Dr Salah Al-Mazroa, Deputy Minister of Health for Engineering Affairs and Supply for Saudi Arabia, emphasized the importance of the expo and the unlimited auspices and ongoing support that the Saudi Ministry of Health continues to provide to this event.

"The event provides a new gateway to draw foreign investment into the local healthcare industry, allowing the local market the opportunity to leverage high-level expertise of foreign companies to enhance the healthcare services offered to the local population," remarked Al-Mazroa.
 
He stressed Saudi Health’s role in promoting partnerships between the ministry and foreign countries in terms of healthcare services through exchanging expertise and knowledge about the best practices and the latest products, technologies and international trends in the healthcare industry, which is poised to contribute to developing the Saudi healthcare industry.

On behalf of the organizing entities, Fahad Al-Athel, the deputy general manager of REC, expressed their utmost thanks and gratitude to the Saudi Ministry of Health for its ongoing support and contributions to the Saudi Health Exhibition & Conference which is seeing a remarkable 30 per cent growth.

Saudi Health will feature over 300 industry-related companies, regional and international healthcare service providers, agents, suppliers and distributors from 35 countries around the world who will showcase their products and solutions on a 7,500 sq m area.

in addition to 10,000 professionals who will be exploring the latest healthcare products, technologies and services offered by various healthcare specialists and medical service providers.

The venue will witness 10 conferences accredited by Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, discussing important topics related to the local and regional healthcare sector, including nursing, hospital management, medical laboratories, biomedical engineering, cardiology, radiology technical management, nuclear medicine, rehabilitation, future of radiology and healthcare sector in Saudi Arabia.-TradeArabia News Service
