Mers kills five more in Saudi Arabia

Five more people died due to the deadly Mers virus in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, bringing the death toll in the kingdom to 152 since September 2012, a report said.

Four people were also newly infected by the virus in Riyadh, the Arab News report said.

One death was reported in Riyadh and four in Jeddah.

Meanwhile, the Education Ministry has ordered all schools to set up health clinics to prevent the spread of the Mers virus and other infectious diseases.

Minister of Education Prince Khaled Al-Faisal issued an order recently for every school to allocate a room stocked with medical equipment and medicines.
