Abu Dhabi's Danat Al Emarat Hospital opens doors

Danat Al Emarat (DAE), a leading private purpose-built women and children’s hospital in Abu Dhabi, has opened doors to its first patients today (August 6).
The date was especially chosen to coincide with the 49th anniversary of the late President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s ascension to power – a day considered by many to be the birth of modern UAE, said a statement.
Cheow Seng Lee, chief executive officer, said: “We are delighted to welcome patients into our world-class hospital facility. Today not only marks our opening day but the anniversary of the ascension of the late Sheikh Zayed to the throne as Ruler of Abu Dhabi Emirate.

Owned by United Eastern Medical Services (UEMedical), a leading privately owned Healthcare Development and Investment Company in Abu Dhabi, and managed by ParkwayHealth, Danat Al Emarat was set-up as a one-stop-shop to offer patients a comprehensive range of medical services that promise to cater for the continuous needs of women and children.
The hospital has centres of excellence in obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, neonatology, surgery, woman diagnostic and breast imaging, as well comprehensive outpatient services in general and internal medicine, a 24 hour walk-in clinic, laboratory and imaging.
In addition, it offers mothers additional support during pregnancy, such as antenatal classes and massage to ease their pregnancy period.
Besides patient-centered care, the hospital will offer the latest in technology, including a fully-fledged level II and III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) that can care for babies who are born prematurely.
Located between the two bridges (Bain Al Jesrain) area along Khaleej Al Arabi Street, Danat Al Emarat has 150 beds and a VIP floor with five VIP Suites, two Royal Suites and a Presidential Suite offering a luxurious experience to patients, said the statement.
It also houses ten delivery suites and four major operating theatres, it said.
