Rise in sea level ‘a threat to Bahrain’

MANAMA, September 7, 2015

An expected rise in sea level caused by climate change will submerge many of Bahrain’s low-lying coastal areas, warned a top official. The Middle East will also experience more frequent extreme weather conditions by the end of the 21st century, said Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) environment policies and planning head Suzan Al Ajjawi, in a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
