This facility is a first-of-a-kind across the Middle East,” said a statement.

Dr Rami Hamed, founding director of DRHC, said: “The DRHC Breast Care Unit is a big step forward in our specializations. While the unit is equipped to handle all kinds of medical conditions associated with breast, it will also go a long way in the nation’s fight against the scourge of breast cancer. The unit is fully equipped with the latest mammogram screening and set to become a centre of excellence for breast cancer diagnosis & treatment. The new facility will not only save lives but also help alleviate the concerns of women during diagnosis, making the process quicker, easier and convenient.”

Dr Hamed also added that the hospital aims to conduct a drive to promote early diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer by encouraging regular screening and mammography after the age of 40 to minimise risks.-TradeArabia News Service
