New healthcare complex will be home to $187 million hospital.

Work to start on new Oman healthcare complex

MUSCAT, November 9, 2015

Work will soon start on an integrated multi-purpose healthcare complex to be developed by Al Madina Investment near Muscat, Oman.

The RO72 million ($187 million) Al Madina International Hospital is set for 2018 launch, reported the Muscat Daily.
 
The complex will house a 225-bed tertiary-care hospital, 120-key three-star hotel apartments, 300 residential apartments, a fitness centre and a dedicated retail space within the premises, said the report in Muscat Daily.

The Al Madina Group also plans to open a network of clinics, which will refer patients to the main health-care facility in Muscat, stated the report, citing a senior official.

"We have always been a market mover when it comes to groundbreaking and innovative investment opportunities here in Oman. Throughout our journey we have successfully launched investment opportunities in various sector such as takaful, lease finance, logistics, real estate, education, and Islamic finance," remarked Khamis Al Kiyumi, vice chairman and managing director of Al Madina Investment.

“We are proud to announce yet another new concept in Oman - Al Madina International Hospital - an integrated multi-use healthcare complex that will benefit the Oman economy immensely,” he added.
