GCC pharma market to top $9bn in 5 years

DUBAI, January 24, 2016

The pharmaceutical market in the GCC countries is expected to be worth over $9.6 billion by 2019, according to a Business Monitor International report, said event organisers of two upcoming industry events in Dubai, UAE.

Organised by Maarefah Management, the co-located Middle East Pharma Cold Chain Congress and Mena Pharma Excellence Congress will run from March 28 to 31 at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City.

“We are honoured to announce that a senior official from the UAE Ministry of Health will inaugurate the co-located pharma congresses: Middle East Pharma Cold Chain and Mena Pharma Excellence,” said Doaa Said, managing director, Maarefah Management.

“The two congresses present a unique platform for regional leaders and industry experts to tackle issues and discuss challenges and solutions in the regional pharma industry. We are calling for regional collaboration from countries in the Middle East in order to drive the industry forward and achieve excellence in all sectors.”

The events will host more than 150 industry leaders and decision makers from pharmaceutical companies, cold chain providers, government regulatory bodies and other pharmaceutical professionals from across the region.

Middle East Pharma Cold Chain Congress features a two-day conference and workshops with a panel of international speakers from government regulatory authorities, leading pharmaceutical companies and cold chain organisations to discuss regional collaboration, regulations within and beyond borders, best practices, temperature-controlled logistics, efficient risk management packaging and monitoring strategies and quality distribution.

Mena Pharma Excellence Congress, with a two-day conference and workshops, puts a spotlight on key challenges facing the pharmaceutical companies such as pricing, reimbursement and market access, creating successful business models to drive growth for the industry, improving sales and marketing effectiveness by using the latest trends in technologies and creating effective partnership to strengthen relations with the key stakeholders. – TradeArabia News Service
