Hundreds of exhibitors and top international occupational safety and health experts from government, semi-government and private sectors are set to take part in an event in Abu Dhabi, UAE next month.

The second Occupational Safety and Health - Middle East Exhibition will run from March 15 to 17 at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, in conjunction with the seventh International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience.

Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Centre (Oshad) will take part in this international event as a co-organiser in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior and Reed Exhibitions.

Dr Jaber Al Jabri, director general of Oshad, said: “Organising the Occupational Safety and Health – Middle East event is in line with OSHAD’s role as the competent authority on occupational safety and health in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

"This event will help to enhance the OSH culture in the Emirate, increase awareness of Oshad-SF and highlight the best international practices in this field by showcasing the latest tools and solutions which contribute to identifying risks. The event will also introduce us to the latest OSH technology and the main challenges facing OSH systems locally and internationally.”

Additionally, under the OSHME Exhibition and Conference platform, Oshad will organise a number of workshops and focus groups aiming to increase public awareness and enhance their knowledge of OSH concepts.

The conference will focus on the best OSH practices presented by internationally renowned specialists and experts. The exhibition will also include live demonstrations which will explain some aspects of occupational safety and health in a simple manner.

The platform will bring together all interested stakeholders including government entities, private companies and leading international suppliers to enhance innovation and develop effective solutions which will help develop the progress of OSH in the emirate.

The event will also promote partnership and collaboration among participating international, regional and local organisations. OSHME, which expects 17,000 visitors, will witness the signing of MOUs with international OSH organisations. - TradeArabia News Service
