DHA, VPS Healthcare make patient transfer easier

DUBAI, UAE , June 13, 2016

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) signed today a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with VPS Healthcare to facilitate transfer of patients from DHA hospitals to Medeor 24x7 hospital and vice-versa.

The organisation has recently signed similar MoU’s with eight private sector hospitals. The move is in line with its strategy to work in partnership with the private sector to ensure the delivery of high-quality specialized health services in the Emirate and to ensure patient-centric care.

The MoU was signed between Humaid Al Qatami, chairman of the board and director-general of DHA and Dr Shamsheer Vayalil, founder and managing director of VPS Healthcare.

Al Qatami said: “The welfare of the community is our top priority and such partnerships reinforce our commitment to the community to provide high-quality specialized health services. Our aim is to work with the private sector to ensure healthcare in Dubai always meets the highest standards and that patients are always at the core of what we do.”

Dr Vayalil added: “This partnership further reflects cooperation between the private and public sector to ensure the ultimate goal of high quality healthcare. This MoU will help patients move within hospitals if needed to receive high-quality specialized care. In future, we are keen to continue working with the DHA to provide best healthcare services for the community.” –TradeArabia News Service
